Why didn't I think of this:
I just read THIS post on Shopping with Cents and loved the tips she gave. My favorite tip was; when you buy your ground beef in BULK or in large family packs, get a head start and instead of doing what I ALWAYS do (separate the uncooked beef into another freezer bag) cook the meat and then place it on a cookie sheet and freeze it!!! Then place it in freezer bags! What a great IDEA!!! I love it. To read her FULL post click HERE.

How are coupons handled?

I read this article today on Southern Savers and just wanted to outline a portion of the post about how coupons are handled...

The store does not have to submit any information about what you purchased with the coupon. Therefore if you use a Prego coupon on Pepperidge Farm Toast (because the cashier told you too) the manufacturer will only care/notice if Publix submitted more Prego coupons than the amount of Prego they purchased. Since Publix purchases thousands of jars of Prego per year the odds they would have more coupons than product are pretty slim.

Basic Tips When Using Coupons

1. The more Coupons you have, the more you will save and stock up on!
2. When using a B1G1F (Buy 1 Get One Free) Coupon, you can also use another coupon for the product you are buying. (The B1G1F coupon is to get a free product, so use a coupon on the item you are purchasing as well....if there is one.)
3. You can get better deals when the items are on SALE.
4. Price/Ad match where you can. (Wal-Mart price matches & Meijer’s Ad matches)
5. Some coupons can be used on Travel Sized products. This usually makes the product FREE!
6. Google for store coupons or codes when shopping online.
7. You can use store coupons with your manufactures coupons, making it an even BETTER deal.
8. Just because the coupon picture shows, example, Honey Bunches of Oats Original Cereal, it does not mean that's the ONLY thing you can buy with the coupon. Read the fine print!!
9. Get extra coupons from neighbors and friends who do not use them.
10. You can buy coupons in bulk on Ebay. This is a great if & when you know ahead of time what will be on sale. (You can see what will be on sale in certain stores using websites like, Hot Coupon World).
11. Buy enough of the product that is on sale to last until the next sale.
12. DONATE extra items to charity, gifts (Wedding Shower Baskets), or give items to other who may be struggling.
13. Do Rebates!! Yes it bites to pay for it all upfront, but it is worth it when you can make extra money using coupons. (Rebate usually are given off sale price...not Actual Out of Pocket Price)!!
14. Get a Rain Check if everything is gone. (You can't get a rain check on sales that say "While supplies last" or "Limited Quantities available"). Also Remember that Rain Checks do have a time limit on them, usually 30 days.
15. Always Keep your coupons with you.
16. "One coupon per purchase" mean you can only use one coupon on EVERY item you buy, each item bought is a purchase.
17. If the coupon says "Off Any Size", it is usually best to use the coupon on the smallest size.
18. One Store doesn't always have the lowest price.
19. Watch items that are on sale and coupons you use as they scan them, to make sure they are deducted correctly.
20. Don not be brand Loyal!

Trouble Printing Printable Coupon?? Here's some tips!

Are you getting the message “please wait” and then nothing ever happens. Since everyone uses different browsers, from Internet Explorer to FireFox to Safari, people paste Coupons.com/Bricks links that they got in FireFox, which do not work in Internet Explorer or vice versa.
Sometimes you get the message “Please Install The Coupon Printer” even when you already did install five times. Well here's thet trick that will allow you to simply change 2 characters in the URL to make a FireFox link work in Internet Explorer and vice versa, the following is a FireFox

wg” in the URL link gives the repeating Please Install The Coupon Printer in Internet Explorer. To make the link an Internet Explorer link we simply change “wg” to “wi” OR “vi” (in this case, both variations work, other coupons it may be wi or vi, trial and

error):hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=wi&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAYorhxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=vi&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY

If you want to print Bricks coupons on a MAC with Safari, replace the “wg”, “wi”, or “vi” to “xs”. You can also do the reverse, take a Safari link “xs” to IE “wi” or “vi” or to FireFox “wg”. You do the opposite if you want to print an Internet Explorer link in FireFox!

Or what I do is simply just copy and paste the link of the coupon and open up a new web browser (like FireFox to Internet Exlorer) and the paste the link and you should be good to go! Best of luck.
